Children in Need – DIY SOS Team and George Dunsire and Pudsey

The EFJ Team will be in front of the TV on Thursday 5th September as the BBC looks back at two decades of DIY SOS with a revisited special.

In September 2012 East Fife Joinery supplied three joiners who provided 30 days labour to “The Yard” Project, as part of the BBC’s Charity “Children In Need”.

The project was featured in the BBC One special programme, “DIY SOS: The Big Build with Children In Need” to help transform the centre for disabled children in Edinburgh.

Thursday night will be chance for them to see what a difference the project made and how things have changed over the past 7 years.

In Thursday’s program Nick Knowles …..

…. will revisit some of the series’ biggest and most challenging builds, including Canada Street in Manchester, The Yard in Edinburgh and, DIY SOS’s most logistically difficult and longest build, the construction of the Grenfell Community Centre and Dale Youth Boxing gym, amongst others.
